Workshop #1: “Unwrapping your Passion – At Any Age”
Presenter: Karen Putz
9AM – 12PM @ CTE MPR room at Texas School for the Deaf
This fun, interactive workshop is designed to provide clarity about your life purpose and passions. You will learn your top 5 Passions through a self-assessment test and create a life you love.
Presenter: Karen Putz is one of 40 Deaf Pearls and the author of six books including Chicken Soup for the Soul Find Your Happiness. Karen is a highly recognized motivational and dynamic speaker who has been personally trained by co-author Janet Attwood of New York Times bestselling book, “The Passion Test.” Karen’s greatest passion is barefooting which you may learn more about via her website www.karenputz.com.

Workshop #2: “Gracie Jiu Jitsu Self-Defense Workshop”
Presenter: Angela maria Nardolillo
1PM – 4PM @ Texas School for the Deaf – Clinger Gym
Have you ever wanted to learn how to protect yourself against a much larger and stronger opponent? Come learn the world’s most efficient form of self defense against the 15 most common attacks identified by law enforcement and survivors. From hair grabs, choke holds and being pinned to the ground with a weapon.
Presenter: Angela Maria Nardolillo is a Gracie Jiu Jitsu “Women Empowered” Self Defense Instructor. She is Hard-of-Hearing, fluent in various languages including ASL, a Game Designer and travels the world to bring supplies, support and empowerment to the Deaf/HOH and CODAs. What to wear: Yoga or sweat pants, T-shirt that covers your shoulders, no jewelry and bare feet.
